Would you believe that just over five years ago on St Andrews day 2010, I started my ambitious 'Fiddle Tune a Day' project. A project that propelled me into the public eye and helped get my foot through the 'folk' door. I'll admit that by saying "get my foot through the door" I really mean "toes crushed between door frame and panel"... None the less the project helped gain an audience which had not existed previously, and was a significant factor in the development process of my debut album.
As a form a celebration I'm resurrecting the project and reposting each of those videos on twitter as they came five years previous. I'm currently in the process of editing out the rather talkative preludes (and prologues) to leave just the tunes themselves. I find the 'vlog' material somewhat embarrassing now (and the nauseating introductory 'theme song'), so I thought it best to tidy things up a little and give the project new life.
Whether you're an avid follower from way back when or new to the project, you can follow its resurrection on twitter, @david_grubby.
